1

Now, for those mouth-watering waffles! You need a waffle maker. I have an amazing flower shaped one whose each petal looks like a heart… courtesy my aunt – the German cousin’s mom. I prefer to use part wheat flour and part all purpose flour. You can use only all purpose flour if you prefer.

2

In a bowl whisk together the flours, baking powder, eggs, milk, unsalted butter, sugar, vanilla essence and a pinch of salt.

3

The batter should be similar consistency as the one made for pancakes – free flowing but not too thin. Let it stand for 15 minutes. Heat the waffle machine. Once hot, brush a hint of butter on the insides. Then pour 1-2 ladles of the waffle mixture and ensure it spreads evenly in the mold.

4

Close the lid and let it cook. It would take 5 – 8 for it to turn golden brown and crisp.

5

Then you can let your imagination run wild with the toppings…My little munchkin loves her waffles with strawberries and ice-cream.

6

Some chocolate sprinkles or a light dusting of powdered sugar also work just fine!
